Migrate your Mails from Outlook PST to Thunderbird
1.) Launch PST Converter Pro and add your pst files for conversion. Now in options panel next to "Convert To" choose "*.mbox, *.vcf…" from drop downmenu .
Click on start button and choose an output folder where converted content is saved.
2.) Download the .xpi file from http://www.pstconverterpro.com/ImportExportTools-2.8.0.1.xpi Now Launch Thunderbird. Choose Application Menu --> Tools --> Add-ons.
In the Thunder bird main window click on the small tools button
and choose "Install Add-on From File…". and Browse to your Download folder and select the above downloaded .xpi file. Install it and "Relaunch" Thunderbird.
3.) Now click on "Local Folders" in left panel as shown in attached screenshot
and right click (ctrl + click) on it. Choose "New Folder…" and give a name for this say "Import". Select this folder.
4.) Now Choose Application Menu --> Tools --> Import Export Tools --> Import mbox file
A dialog pops out. Choose last option from this dialog as shown in attached
5.) Select the folder which contains converted "mbox" files and click Open. It will start importing your mbox files one by one. It will show a confirmation dialog which you can get rid of by selecting an option something like don't ask again. And you are done!
6.) if you have contacts in your pst file, they are converted to a vcf file in the output folder. In Thunderbird application menus choose "Import" --> Address Books. Click "Next" and select vCard file. click on "Next" . Browse to the location where you had saved converted stuff. Browse to the folder "Contacts" and choose "Contacts.vcf" inside it. This will import your address book. Instead of following Apple Mail route I would suggest you to import your emails through MBOX conversion route. Optionally you can also follow EML conversion route. For just a note : all above steps are quite similar for "*.eml" files.
